In 2002, they also introduced their own line of bicycles.

The company that brought us Smith and Wesson knives started out as a partnership in the early 1850s. Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson decided to market a lever action pistol. However, this venture was not successful and they had to eventually sell the business. Closing shop did not deter them from their goals and rather worked as an experience that they were able to make use of when they endeavored to sell the Model 3 American. The gun was the world’s first ever caliber cartridge revolver. Thus began the company’s long list of innovations. S&W continues to lead the industry, even after 150 years.
