The Smith And Wesson Swat Knife was specially designed for the special forces of the police. These are the kinds of knives that are currently being used by law enforcers in life-and-death situations. There are three major types for the Smith and Wesson SWAT Knife, specifically the large knives, the medium knives and the small or baby knives.

The large SWAT knives are SW-2000 and SW-3000. These are closed length locking liner pocket knives at 4.75 inches. The medium SWAT knives include the SW 4000 and the SW 5000. The Smith & Wesson Dual Action SWAT Knife, Tactical Plain Blade, SW4000GB is a Smith and Wesson SWAT Knife that has been converted to become a dual action knife. The knife can be opened with the thumb stud or using the firing button, which is located on the Kraton insert on the knife’s handle. The plain edge blade is made of stainless steel. It has a black tactical finish. The drop point blade has aluminum handles, which are gold-coated and also have Kraton inserts, both on the front and the back for better gripping action. The model is a fast-opening knife and a good quality conversion. It also has clean lines that create a sophisticated overall look.

The Smith & Wesson Dual Action Medium Silver Serrated SWAT Knife, SW5000, is also a medium Smith and Wesson SWAT Knife, which has been converted into a dual action knife. Like the SW4000, it can be opened with either the thumb stud or the firing button. The blade is also a drop point made from stainless steel and it is part serrated. The aluminum handles have a silver coating and also have two Kraton inserts for better grip. It is also a good quality conversion and a fast opening knife.

The small or baby models include the SW2001B and the SW2001. The Smith & Wesson Baby SWAT Knife, Dual Action Conversion, Black Tactical, SW2001B and the Smith & Wesson Baby SWAT Knife, Dual Action Conversion, Champagne , SW2001, have mostly similar features with the medium Smith and Wesson SWAT Knife, except for the sizes and the colors.
